The World Rugby championships being underway, there is much being discussed about the two teams, Australia and England.

Both the teams have a rich history of wins and losses. Last year the tournament had been held in England and the latter had been humiliated when they were unable to pass to the knockout rounds. This time they have been faring better, even if the matches have been happening in Australia. The series opener saw England winning the match, even the first Test series. Hence, there is much anticipation about the upcoming second Test series.

Australia Rugby team player Beale has contract extended by ARU

Kurtley Beale, the troubled playmaker for the Australia Rugby team has seen his contract with the Australian Rugby Union (ARU) extended by a further year despite off field troubles ahead of the Rugby World Cup in the summer.

Beale will be a part of the Wallabies squad for the upcoming Rugby World Cup on English soil despite being sanctioned by the ARU for a lewd text message that he had sent to a former business manager of the Wallabies and an altercation in-flight against a member if the team staff in October 2014.

Aussie Rugby Offers Tribute To Hughes

Dai Young Admits That Their Game Wasn’t Up To The Mark

Dai Young has said that despite winning, his side’s performance was not up to the mark. Two tries were scored by tom Varndell and James Gaskell and Rob Miller each scored a point. The team won a bonus point and moved up to the fifth place. Their overall performance though was good enough to win them the match; it wasn’t an overall good performance. Young said that some parts of their game was “messy” and they appeared “shaky” at times, he admitted that they provided opportunities for their opponents to score which they utilized.

George North says he joined the Saints to win silverware

George North has claimed that he joined the Northampton Saints to win silverware, stressing that he wants to play an important role as the Jimmies chase two titles over the next two weeks.

The Saints face the challenge of fellow Aviva Premiership rivals Bath Rugby in the final of the European Challenge Cup this weekend and then take on Saracens FC in the final of the Aviva Premierships playoffs in what is their second straight final appearance.

Over Coming Injuries And Winning

Australia rugby team was ranked sixth in the HSBC Sevens World Series ranking in Tokyo. They were placed in the Pool B along with New Zealand, United States and Hong Kong.

Even though the team was better ranked than two other opponents, Coach O’Connor was not ready to underestimate any of the teams.

In the Hong Kong series, USA had played very well only to be defeated by Kenya. Hong Kong played well as well and New Zealand was the champions. Australia started out well against Hong Kong but in lost their focus in the match against England.

The Australian rugby union and the Australia five Fx Pro Super Rugby franchise has decided to come up with an event on the 18th of this month, where enthusiastic rugby fans get to meet their heroes.

The initial inauguration day will be held on the 1th of this month. The event is scheduled to be held at the University of Canberra.
